(Sorry about all the Rowen posts lately, he is just at such a funny talking stage, he cracks me up!)
If you know Rowen, you know that he doesn't like food. (At least any healthy food.) I always try to get him to taste new things, but he usually won't. Sometimes he takes a microscopic bite, says "MMMMM, yummy" with a sour face and then gags it down. If you ask him to take another bite he says: "No. that's. all." and then covers his mouth.
But today he tried to charm me. I tried to get him to take a bite and he said. "Ummmm, no that's all. . . but thank you for asking, that was SOOO nice of you!"
Memoires of a wife, mother, and psych nurse. The days sometimes seem long, but our short precious years pass by too quickly.

The Funny Things 2 Year Olds Say
Tonight Rowen looked up and saw a beautiful, crystal clear moon.
"Ooohhh! Look at the moon! I can catch it when I get big, big, big, BIG!"
Me: "You would have to be pretty big to catch the moon!"
Ro: "Uuummm, I think I need a stepstool or somethin'!"
During a longish van ride, Rowen turned back to Makaylee and said:" How's it goin' KK?"
Makaylee: "Good"
Rowen: "KK! You s'pposed to say, how's it goin' Rowen!"
One day, when we dropped Makaylee off at school, Rowen got sad because he wanted to go with her. I told him that he gets to go to school next year. He was quiet for a minute, and then he looked up at me and said, "You needa buy me a backpack Momma!"
Aleeya was laying on a blanket kicking her feet. Rowen said (in a whiny voice) "Mom, Aleeya is 'clicking' me!"
We are big on nicknames. Rowen is "Ro", Makaylee is "KK" and Aleeya is either "Leeya" or "LeeLee." Rowen has taken her name one step easier and just calls Aleeya "La."
We sing "You are my Sunshine" every night to Rowen. Sometimes he sings it on his own during the day and he always says: "But when I woke up, I was mistaken and I 'bonked' my head and cried."

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
When I got home from work on Monday night, I found this most adorable note taped to the front door:
"Catch you on Wednesday"
It made me giggle, Makaylee had never been so excited about St. Patrick's day before. So, we decided to set a trap for the Leprechaun on Tuesday night. Makaylee told me that Leprechauns love chocolate (?) so we tried to lure it in by putting some chocolate under a propped up laundry basket.
When she got up on St. Patrick's Day she went straight downstairs to see if we were successful. I woke up to her running into my room shouting "Mommy, WE ALMOST CAUGHT ONE!" This is the note that he left us:
Kids are so much fun at this age!

Aleeya's Baby Blessing
Today was Aleeya's baby blessing. I think that with all that she has been through, it made today that much more special. Terry gave her the most beautiful blessing. I am so thankful to have such an amazing husband and father for my sweet kiddos. Thanks to all our family and friends that came to celebrate with us! The food was good and the company was even better!
