This afternoon, I was on some errands, and Rowen got hungry. Well, he will NOT take a bottle from me, so I pulled over into a semi-empty parking lot, found a spot on the back row with absolutely no cars parked near, and got Rowen out of the car. I put a blanket up in the front widow to cover his eyes from the sun and started breastfeeding him in the front seat. (Sorry if too much info) Anyway, pretty soon, I see a car out of the corner of my eye. It pulls up right next to me, and I am thinking "How annoying! Couldn't you find another spot in this huge lot!" I look over, and it is a cop! He is just sitting there staring at me! I look away, hoping that he will just disappear. Well, he just keeps sitting there and staring. Now I am thinking "What? Is it illegal to breastfeed your son in a deserted parking lot?!" Well, I am getting a little self conscious at this point so I cover up all the way, roll down the window and say "Can I help you officer?!"
He says, "Are you okay?"
I say, "Yes"
He says" Are you just taking a time out?" (What?)
I say, "No, actually I'm just trying to feed my son!"
He blushes, as he finally figures out what I am doing! "Oh, I am sorry to interrupt, have a good day!" And drives off!
I don't know who was more embarrassed!
Memoires of a wife, mother, and psych nurse. The days sometimes seem long, but our short precious years pass by too quickly.

Hola!
This morning when Makaylee woke up, she came running into my room and shouted in a friendly sort of way "Hola!" Terry was so proud!

A Funny Conversation
On the way home from preschool the other day, Makaylee and I had a funny little conversation. She was telling me that she got to be the VIP today, and that Jack didn't. Then the conversation went like this.
Makaylee: "But, Jack is not my boyfriend!"
Me: "Good"
Her: "But when I get big, will I have a boyfriend"
Me: "No, we don't like boyfriends"
Her: "Why?"
Me: "Because, they are Icky!"
Her: "No they are not! I love boyfriends!"
Oh, her father would have died if he was there! What is she learning in preschool! She still doesn't know all her letters, but she is sure learning interesting "street stuff" from the other kids!
A few days later she told me that she was going to marry Rowen!

2 Snow Whites and a Dwarf
Makaylee and her friend Morgan both dressed up as Snow White for Halloween this year.
So, of course, Rowen had to dress up as a dwarf!
Which Dwarf? It really depends on the moment, but I would say Happy!
Terry's costume consisted of a Sleeve Tattoo, it's more effort than I put into it.

Cousins and Costumes
My parents threw a Halloween party for their Grand kids the weekend before Halloween. It was so fun, we had all kinds of spooky food. (IE. witches finger bread sticks, eyeball fruit salad, bat wings, mummy cupcakes.) It also made our Halloween a little less hectic, because we didn't have to try to fit in visiting two sets of grandparents!
These are some cousins from Terry's side of the family. They were all so hyped up on sugar, they just kept running around is circles over and over and over!!!

Rowen Is Laughing!
I can't believe Rowen is starting to laugh like this. Doesn't he seem young to be giggling so much? I think Makaylee was at least 4 1/2 months old before she found anything funny! He is such a happy boy, and such a joy to us!
Cooing
Rowen is really starting to enjoy his voice. He has also discovered his hands in the last week or so. He loves to bat at toys, and suck on everything. He also likes getting his wet little fingers wrapped around little pieces of my hair! Ouch!

Makaylee and Brooklyn
This is Makaylee's cute cousin Brooklyn. She came over to play, and they had so much fun dressing up and diving into the play tent.
Dancing.
Beautiful Princesses!

He Smiles!
I can't believe he is big enough to smile now! I couldn't get him to do his big open mouthed grin, but you get the general idea!

Preschool
Makaylee started preschool this week! When we got to school the first day all the other moms were hovering around like helicopters, with their children hanging from their legs. Makaylee looked around tentatively and took a seat that had a puzzle in front of it. I stood near and watched her. After about two minutes she looked up at me and said, "Mommy, can you go to the car now, and pick me up when it's over?" I blinked, trying to understand what she was saying. "Do you want me to go now honey?" She nodded and kissed me goodbye. I was the first mother to leave. I looked back at her, sitting so big at the table and my mouth dropped open. When did this happen? When did my baby become a kid?!?!
These pictures were taken after school the first day. Her hair was much more orderly when I dropped her off at school!

Belly Picture
Here it is, my one and only Belly picture. Terry reminded me that we haven't taken any this whole pregnancy!

Do you want to hear the good news though? My Dr. is going to induce me on June 29! I only have 1 week and 4 days left of being pregnant! Hooray! I am so ready to have my body all to myself again, I swear this kid is like 10 lbs and 27 inches long! June 29th is also our 6th anniversary! Terry said that it would make our anniversary easier to remember, too bad he had to put it that way, he would have earned points if he said that it would make the baby's birthday easier to remember!

Liberty Park
We're trying to fit a few fun things in this summer before we have the baby and we're home bound for a few weeks.

We went to Liberty Park with Makaylee's cousins today. She loved it! They have this fun wading area that they splashed in. Then they rode the Ferris wheel, then grandma bought them cotton candy as big as their heads!
