My wonderful parents had a great idea about 10 months ago. . . they told us that for our 2010 Christmas gifts they were taking us to California, the beach, and Disneyland! It has been a long wait. . .but it was definitely worth every "how many more days until Disneyland?!!" I was asked! It was priceless!
I always feel like I am about 8 when I walk through the gates to Disneyland! It was so much fun watching my kids having the time of their lives! It was so awesome to be able to enjoy it with my whole family! All of our 10 kids were so well behaved, and I know it is an experience that they won't soon forget! Thanks Mom and Dad for being so generous and giving us those awesome memories!
(The next few posts are more pics from California)
Memoires of a wife, mother, and psych nurse. The days sometimes seem long, but our short precious years pass by too quickly.

My Beach Babies!
There is something so magical about the beach! Ever since I was a little girl it has fascinated me! I almost forget how mesmerizing it is until I visit it again, and then I never want to leave! I was so excited to find that my kids inherited my love of the ocean! They could have played for days and not gotten bored! Here are some of the many pictures of my beach babes!

Can't a Mom get a Break?!
We have been wallowing in our normal Autumn Illnesses this week -- brought on by back-to-school-germs, and intensified by asthma. Rowen was our first worry, his coughs started again so we were giving him nebulizers around the clock for a few nights in a row, and when that started to settle down a bit Aleeya spiked a fever.
It was pretty high (102.5) for two days in a row so I hauled her into the doctor to have her checked out. It turns out to be a less known viral illness called Roseola that causes high fevers for three days and then ends with a strange rash on the trunk, neck, and arms (which she now has.)
As I was driving home from the doctor with Aleeya and Rowen all I could think about is how badly I could use a Large Diet Coke and an Extra Large Break! But before I even made it to the Maverik (for the Diet Coke) I got a phone call that informed me just what kind of a BREAK I was getting.
Makaylee fell off of the Monkey Bars at school and broke her arm! Seriously! I called Terrill and told him that unless he wanted me to have a mental breakdown he was going to meet me at the hospital NOW. Of course he obliged, and met me there a few minutes later to help wrangle all the children and ALL of our issues.
Let me just add that everyone is doing much better now, we are just trying to figure out how we are going to deal with a brand new cast on our Disneyland/ beach vacation next week! Definitely not the best time for the broken arm, but then again- when is?

Standing Tall!
My baby girl is sure in a hurry to grow up! She is pulling up to stand and trying to keep up with her brother and sister! She doesn't realize that I am in no hurry to have her grow up!
Some one once said: "When your first child is learning to stand, you help them up, encourage them, and applaud them. When your second child stands up you say 'Oh look, they learned how to stand' and when your third child stands up-- you push them back down!" He he he, I would never-- but I get it :)
