Hunting Licence and Tag: $80.00
Gasoline Money: $50.00
Cost to process Elk meat: $80.00
New Freezer to put Elk meat in: $300.00
Proud look on Hubby's face when he brought the Elk home:
Cute, but definitely NOT priceless!!!

(Seriously! I think I could have bought an entire COW for the price of that hunting trip!!!)

Their investment pieces, right? That's what my hubby says. You only have to buy them once...there is always something new though. At least he came home with something....

The quality of meat should count for something, and the knowledge of knowing "how" to hunt, just in case that is ever needed, is a good thing.
Miguel wants to go with them next year, so maybe I will be the one adding up the $'s next time!!

Dang hunters!!! They leave us for too long during hunting season. We should bring that up when we go by ourselves to Big Rock!!!
